2025 Community Thank You Events
Celebrating the supporters of the 2025 Good Friday Appeal
In the weeks following Good Friday, the Appeal team was excited to welcome members of fundraising groups, volunteers and collection groups to thank you events, dedicated to acknowledging them for their hard work and generous support of the 2025 Good Friday Appeal.
These events celebrated many of our supporters, partners and volunteers, including some long standing partnerships.

This year marked 80 years of working with Telstra, whose partnership has provided telecommunications and state-of-the-art equipment for the phone room. This year that room received over 6,400 calls, collecting over $1 million in donations.
Another incredible milestone was reached by the town of Casterton. Led by current Area Manager Joy, Casterton is celebrating 80 years of fundraising, over which they have raised $453,774,75! Each year, Joy organises a raffle and door knocking throughout the town. This year, the town’s small but mighty population of just 1,700, raised an incredible $26,301. Thank you Casterton!

Our volunteers are the backbone of the Appeal, with so many returning each year to continue supporting The Royal Children’s Hospital. This year, we recognised those volunteers who have hit significant milestones with Good Friday Appeal, including Elizabeth Hale for 45 years of service in the phone room, Geoffrey Magor who is celebrating 50 years of volunteering in our money counting room, and Peter Harcoan who is celebrating 55 years of volunteering with the Appeal.

Our Impact Celebration event acknowledged the dedication and generosity of our community fundraisers. Whether they’ve hosted events, collected cans, donated time or sold a special product, each of our fundraisers showcases the best of community spirit, and demonstrates the many different ways in which you can get involved with supporting The Royal Children’s Hospital.

The success of the Appeal is reliant on the enormous generosity that is shown by the many organisations, community groups and individuals who return each year to support sick kids at The Royal Children’s Hospital.
