Woolworths have been wonderful friends of the Good Friday Appeal for over 38 years, with their teams and customers being incredibly generous through their support of the Good Friday Appeal each and every year.
Thanks to the generosity of Woolworths and their customers, the Good Friday Appeal donation will help expand the Child Life Therapy (CLT) program into the Emergency Department (ED) at The Royal Children’s Hospital. This vital program allows expert Child Life Therapists to create customised strategies to help reduce stress for patients, families, and staff – making what can be a daunting hospital visit a more positive experience for everyone.
Every day, kids at the hospital tune into RCH TV, a channel created just for them thanks to support from Woolworths stores and their customers. From fun live game shows like Hospital Lingo to “Be Positive (B+),” hosted by Carlie and her friends Jazz and Rocco, RCH TV helps kids learn about the hospital, meet the people who care for them, and discover the amazing technology that supports their recovery.
Woolworths also proudly support the Comfort Kids Program, which provides practical strategies to reduce pain, anxiety, and distress during medical procedures, ensuring children feel as comfortable and supported as possible throughout their treatment.
Thank you, Woolworths, for helping make a difference for sick kids and their families.
