For 74 years, the Country Fire Authority (CFA) has been a proud supporter of the Good Friday Appeal, raising vital funds to support sick children and their families. This year, with the incredible generosity of Victorian communities, CFA volunteers raised an astounding $1,888,912, bringing their grand total contributions to a remarkable $41 million.

As we celebrate this historic milestone, the CFA is also turning its focus to an important message for all Victorians: Get Fire Ready.
With the upcoming fire season expected to be challenging, the CFA is urging residents and property owners to understand their local fire risks and take proactive steps to prepare. From 1 October, over 530 CFA brigades across Victoria will host Get Fire Ready events to engage with their communities. These events will provide valuable information about local fire risks, preparedness strategies, and trusted sources for emergency updates.
