Receipt questions, including tax and errors
I donated but I don’t have my receipt yet
Your receipt should arrive via email within 10 minutes of donating. Please check your junk/spam folders.
If the receipt cannot be found due to an email address error, please email us with your name – phone number & donation amount and we will correct the issue and re-issue a receipt within 5 days.
I have received my receipt but my details are incorrect
If your receipt has incorrect details, email contact@goodfridayappeal.com.au with your name – phone number & donation amount and we will correct the receipt and re-issue a receipt within 5 business days.
Can I change the name on my donation/ receipt?

If your receipt has incorrect details, please email contact@goodfridayappeal.com.au letting us know the details – please include both the original donation details (email, phone amount) and the new donor name to be replaced. We will correct the receipt and re-issue a receipt within 5 days.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, all tax deductible gifts over $2 to registered Deductible Gift Recipients (DGR) can be taken off your taxable income for the year. A DGR is a recognised, registered, and endorsed charity in the eyes of the ATO.
All kinds of donations are tax deductible, including:
- One-off donations
- Monthly or other regular donations
- Donations to appeals
- Corporate sponsorships
If your donation is from a collection of people, you will be sent a community contribution letter. This form of donation is not tax deductible.
