Answers to the Tea Towel Search:
1. Our snappy Yabbie is right at the top next to the hospital. Yabbie races are held each year at the Tungamah Hotel to raise money, run by the Tungamah Social Club.
2. Kids Day Out is a free family, fun filled event. There are three tickets to find. Two are on the left, and one is down the bottom on the right side. Hope to see you there from 10am-5pm at the MCEC on Good Friday.
3. Find our Jockey right in the middle, underneath the 95 years logo. In 1931, journalists from the Sporting Globe put on a sporting carnival with a footy match played between jockeys from Flemington vs jockeys from Caulfield. 427 pounds was raised!
4. Two – you can check out the meerkats at the RCH next time you visit, located in an open air enclosure near the specialists clinic reception. Say hello to Suri, Zimba, Kamari, Mosi, Nyota and Zola!
5. Two delicious cherries – consider holding your own bake sale, it’s easy! Head to our website for more fundraising ideas. www.goodfridayappeal.com.au/fundraise
6. Four – our mascot Welbie is like a warm hug, just when you need it. There’s two welbies on their own and look closely because another two welbies are featured on the GFA fundraising tins. You can purchase your own Welbie plushie on our website. https://staging.goodfridayappeal.com.au/news/merchandise/
7. Two Easter Eggs are rolling around, and Welbie is holding a few more in their easter basket. If you want your own try Josh’s Rainbow Speckled Chocolate Eggs in Woolies stores, with 50c from every egg donated to the Good Friday Appeal.
8. The Appeal News is being delivered by Welbie on the bottom left side. Check out inspiring stories in the Herald Sun, Geelong Advertiser and The Weekly Times leading up to the Appeal.
9. A delicious sausage is on the BBQ. You can hold your own sausage sizzle fundraiser or go to Bunnings on Saturday March 28, where every store run BBQ in the state of Victoria is raising funds for the Good Friday Appeal.
10. That’s a trick question! There’s two teddies being cuddled! On the top left hand side, a little patient from the RCH is holding her teddy, and Welbie is cuddling their teddy on the bottom left too. Visit the Teddy Bear Hospital at Kids day Out at the MCEC on Good Friday, more information on our website https://staging.goodfridayappeal.com.au/kids-day-out/
